NETWORK OPERATION CENTER [NOC]

A Network Operations Center or NOC is a centralized location where the network operation staff provides 24 hours a day supervision, monitoring, and management of the network, servers, databases, firewalls, devices and related external services.
This infrastructure environment may be located on-premises and/or with a cloud-based provider. Essentially, a NOC is the basis of a company's nervous system and the first line of defense against any telecommunication network disruption.
